T.I. confronted Funkmaster Flex for his random, lengthy Tupac rants.
Funk Flex spent the better part of Wednesday going on and on about the theory that Tupac shot himself in the groin while trying to defend himself during the 1994 Quad Studio robbery that he later blamed The Notorious B.I.G. and Sean “Puff/Diddy” Combs for.
While many joined in on the banter, one person who was not impressed was Tupac fan and rapper T.I. Tip, who recently honored Tupac for his Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame enshrinement, took it upon himself to give Funk Flex a brief course on respect for the dead. In an Instagram post borrowing screenshots from Flex’s rant, T.I. said:
Respectfully Bruh… on G-Code…. regardless of what YOU THINK the validity of your statement is,I was taught never to speak down on a dead man. Considering they ain’t here to speak up for themselves. When he was alive, you was on da air then…. that was the time to address this. NOT HERE,NOT NOW,NOT LIKE THIS!!! And I’d say the same to a nigga from LA speaking on BIG.
Flex has yet to respond to T.I.
Flex’s theory is not new. The same has been reported on and written in books in years prior. But it is the nature of which Flex is delivering his revelation is what is disgusting people.
Longtime Biggie associate Lil Cease caught some brief hell when he appeared to be co-signing Flex’s statements when he commented on his Instagram Live video. He later clarified what he was saying and insisted that people not take his words out context.
